This plugin began silently failing to send form data several months ago, and the issue still has not been fixed. They’ve had a bug in their file upload code for the same amount of time — it seems like they don’t actually have any developers working to resolve tickets anymore. The errors are nonexistent or unhelpful, so it’s impossible to debug on my own.

No tech support after 3 weeks! They said they are trying to schedule a time to work on it. What a joke!

Ninja forms 3 came with a theme that I purchased. It’s reasonably easy to use but in terms of functionality, not much works. Messages get through if ReCaptcha is not checked and sometimes the ReCaptcha display doesn’t appear. Selection check boxes mean nothing as emails include no details of the selection. Does anything actually work with Ninja Forms?
I then rolled back to version 2.9X and things do not function. After uninstall and reinstall, software shows v3 is running but it runs on v2.9X interface and tools and I cannot revert to the proper v3 software!
Very disappointed.

Same here! I used them for 2 years but recently their tech support is non-existent! I submitted a ticket 3 weeks ago and they replied once saying they were trying to schedule a time to work on it. I switched to Gravity and couldn’t be happier. The forms are much nicer, too!

It’s enjoyable to use, and very flexible. However after around 2 years of use I feel I can never quite trust it. Sometimes it behaves unpredictably, sometimes it freezes my site for up to 5 minutes, updates can be rushed out that create a problem worse than the one that was supposed to be fixed, and some of the addons seem woefully underdeveloped. The forthcoming version 3 is apparently a complete re-write and I hope it’s solid.

Ninja Forms is a pretty handy little forms plugin. My favorite thing about it is its simplicity. Creating a form is intuitive, and you can keep it really basic or make it more complex for plenty of customization. There is a drag and drop interface, which I tend to prefer on plugins like this. If you hate doing code or don’t have any experience, then you will probably like Ninja Forms.
It also comes with lots of extensions like AWeber and MailChimp, which makes it easy to integrate with an email marketing campaign. I also like that you can customize the style of the forms with ease so that it can tie into your overall branding. There are a plethora of features like submission management, unlimited notifications and add-ons that should meet almost anyone’s needs. There is also an anti-spam feature which alleviates a lot of frustration.
While all of the features are great, but there is one issue I have. The main downside is that the features have to be installed through a plugin, which can be time consuming and irritating at times. They don’t help you in this department, so you’re on your own. Other than that, I don’t really have anything bad to say about it. And because Ninja Forms is in competition with Gravity Forms, it’s likely to keep improving and may have even more features in the future.
All things considered, I love this plugin and would recommend it anyone who utilizes forms on a constant basis.
