  1. Blogvault is ALMOST a great solution. As stated in other reviews BV is quite easy to set up and in a disaster it is pretty easy to restore you site quite quickly.
As to the subject of security, that used to be something I felt good about until in early Feb 2017 when BV emailed me to tell me they had been hacked and many of their customer’s sites had been infected with malware. OUCH! Since I have BV installed on many client sites that pretty much meant killing an entire day mopping up after BV little breach.
The other place where BV really falls down is on support. For a site with a monthly fee I expect some kind of support. BV’s support is sparse at best. The have a “chat” button on the dashboard but it always – and I literally mean ALWAYS – reads chat: Offline. In 3 years using this tool I’ve never seen that chat link any other way. If you dig further there is another chat link on the contact page. If you use this tool be prepared to wait and wait and wait. I’ve tried to use this method several times and have given up ach time after 30+ minutes waiting for a reply.
So, yes, when its working BlogVault is great. But when its not you are on you own. And its security is suspect.

  2. The potential threat of losing content on your WordPress site is nightmarish. That’s why it pays to have some sort of backup in place in case of a worst case scenario. blogVault is one of the more popular backups, and I’ve had a positive experience with it so far. Everyone else I’ve talked to about it seems to agree.

As a lover of all things simple, I like it because it’s pretty much hands off once installed, and I know that everything is protected. blogVault basically handles the entire process for you, so there aren’t really any worries. The only time you have to actually do anything is if you are forced to restore your site. Also, the dashboard is intuitive, which makes it easy to manage your backups.

It offers a daily automatic backup and real-time WordPress backup, which covers your entire site. From what I hear, blogVault is extremely secure, so you don’t have to worry about your content falling into the wrong hands. It’s a real threat these days, so the full encryption is a nice feature to have. There is also a solid support team of technicians if you run into trouble or have any questions along the way. This is good because the last thing you want to deal with is not having assistance in a high stress situation.

I would personally recommend this plugin if you’re looking for something that gets the job done without demanding your constant attention. It gives you peace of mind, so you can run your WordPress site without the fear of any serious data loss.
