working with layer slider is more easier than revolution slider. I suggest that if you are to working with slider plugins, definitely work with layer slider and its demos to learn about basics of slider plugins. because menu of Layer Slider is more regular and for unprofessional users regular menu is perfect (actually all regular and systematic things is perfect) and for this users who dont know about basics easy, regular and user friendly are best things. but revolution slider is a little more advance in some cases. working with revolution slider for unprofessional users is really stunner and very confusing. but if you are professional to work with this plugin, in some cases your willing about changing the slider become less, just because its a little more advance. I recommend to layer slider to make this plugin more advance. anyway I recommend everyone to use this plugin because all lacks become desolve with your css codes and also all things that Rose Manning said above are true.

LayerSlider is a great slider plugin to use because of its WYSIWYG slider builder. This has saved me a lot of time because I’ve found a lot of slider plugins either aren’t easy to edit or the slider that appears on your site looks different in the WordPress interface.
In addition, LayerSlider also delivers the same performance on mobile devices so that I don’t have to worry about the site loading slowing, or not at all, simply because the site visitor is on a mobile device.
I also really like the fact that it has support for images, text, custom HTML and video content. If you find a template that supports LayerSlider, you’ll find that everything will be set up for you so you only have to change some minor details to get the look that you want. It also comes with built-in skins so that you can use these options and just add your own customizations if you don’t want to start from scratch. If you are concerned about browser support, this plugin works fine in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, iOS, and Android.
Finally, I really like that this plugin is SEO friendly. Many people are worried about using multimedia elements on their sites because of the implications regarding SEO but you’ll be able to build semantic markup that can be easily indexed by the search engines.
All in all, this plugin is a quality plugin with a lot of customization options. If you are looking for an easy-to-use slider option for your WordPress site, I think LayerSlider is a good option.
