Internet Explorer Bookmark Bug
Written by Stuart on Monday, October 13th, 2008 in Blog

Hi guys and gals,

Techzone alerted us to a bug with our Browser Bookmark Button in IE7 where it wasn’t functioning, it seemed to be something to do with the new javascript “document.getSelection” feature we added last week. This function allowed users to select a piece of text on the page they are submitting and it automatically propagates the description box on you WPscoop submitted story.

We have supplied another Browser Bookmark Button that works for Internet Explorer users in our User Tools section here. Unfortunately the IE version wont submit your selected text as description but it does submit the URL and Title of the article.

Hi all,

We have had a few reports of the spam system at WPscoop acting up on some users submissions, if you experience any problems with submissions please leave a comment here with details of the url you were submitting and your user name.

Thanks
